Last updated: February 23, 2026
1. Introduction
Tabme (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website https://gettabme.com/ and the Tabme Chrome extension (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our Service, in line with applicable data protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Digital Services Act (DSA), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This Privacy Policy works together with our Terms of Service.
2. Data We Collect
Account and usage. When you use the Service, we may collect:
- Email address (when you create an account or subscribe to Pro)
- Account credentials and profile information you provide
- Usage data (e.g. feature use, extension version, and general interaction with our website and API)
Bookmarks and tabs. If you use cloud sync (Pro), we store and process your spaces, folders, bookmarks, and related data on our servers to provide synchronization. This data is used only to operate the Service.
3. Payment Processing and Stripe
We use Stripe, Inc. as our third-party payment processor for Pro subscriptions. We do not store or process your full credit or debit card details on our servers.
Data shared with Stripe may include: your email address, billing name and address, and payment method information that you enter on Stripe’s secure payment pages. Stripe’s collection and use of that data is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Stripe may also collect device and browser data for fraud prevention.
We receive from Stripe: transaction status, subscription state, customer identifier, and (where applicable) billing email and country, so we can provide Pro access, manage subscriptions, and comply with legal and accounting requirements.
4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics
Cookies and similar technologies. Our website may use cookies and similar technologies (e.g. local storage) for:
- Essential operation (e.g. session and authentication)
- Remembering your preferences and settings
- Security (e.g. CSRF protection)
The Tabme extension may use browser local storage (e.g. Chrome’s storage API) to store your tabs, bookmarks, and settings locally. This data stays on your device unless you use Pro and choose to sync it to our servers.
Analytics. We may use analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics) on our website to understand usage patterns, improve the site, and measure marketing. Such services may use cookies and collect IP address, device type, and pages visited. You can control cookies via your browser settings; see our cookie notice on the website where applicable.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and manage your account and subscription
- Process payments and communicate about billing (including via Stripe)

- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law (e.g. tax, accounting). After account deletion or subscription end, we may retain anonymized or aggregated data and data necessary for legal obligations.
7. Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in Germany and in other countries where our service providers (including Stripe and analytics providers) operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses) where required by law.
